Panch Kailash Soil
Description
This box holds the sacred blend of soil (mitti) from all five Kailash of Lord Shiva for your home and worship.
The Puranas speak of five peaks across the Himalayas where Shiva chose to live, Mount Kailash, Adi Kailash, Kinnaur Kailash, Shrikhand Mahadev, and Manimahesh. Together, these five are believed to represent the Panchanana, the five sacred faces of Shiva himself. Visiting all five is said to equal the merit of Kashi, Kedarnath, and Amarnath combined.
Yet reaching even one is the blessing of a lifetime. These peaks sit at over 15,000 feet, some open only for days each year, and most devotees never make it to all five. The soil in this box is gathered from each one, so the ground of all five faces of Shiva can rest in your mandir.
For generations, devotees have carried a handful of tirth soil home and kept it in their puja ghar. This is that same tradition, just gathered from all five of Shiva's mountain homes instead of one. Keep it close, and let it stay with you for life.
