Tirth Rudraksha Mala

Where & How Does Tirth Rudraksha Mala Come From?

Each Tirth Rudraksha Mala mentioned here carries within it a piece of the actual sacred part of it, representing the associated pilgrimage site. Not just symbolism, but soil, ash, or sindoor sourced directly from the related holy site, filled inside an amulet or a locket.

For instance, the Kailash Kripa Mala; the amulet hanging in the centre of the mala, beaded with 108 hand-strung Panchmukhi Rudrakshas, holds the sacred soil sourced from the Mount Kailash region itself. Kailash Parvat, located in the Tibet region of China, is so revered in Hinduism and Vedic scriptures that no one could ever climb the peak. Yet, whoever visits the Kailash Mansarovar gets all their sins absolved. The untold fact is, not everyone can make it to this destination, as the trek, the demanding journey, and the remote region of Kailash are not a cakewalk. However, for someone who can't make it to the Kailash Yatra, the Kailash Kripa Mala is a blessing that makes the wearer feel very close to Mount Kailash itself.

Following the same principle, every mala in the Teertha Rudraksha Mala collection draws its essence from a different sacred site, as mentioned. The Dwadash Bhumi and Panch Kailash Bhumi Malas are infused with consecrated soil from 12 different locations of the 12 Jyotirlingas (collected in a single amulet), and the Panch Kailash destinations, respectively. Similarly, the Hanumat Kavach Mala and the Char Dham Bhumi Mala carry soils from devotional pilgrimage centres associated with Hanuman Ji, and Char Dham destinations, respectively.

In each case, the belief follows the same concept: the physical proximity to a sacred tirth yatra kshetra is thought to transfer its energy into the soil or ash, consecrated and energised by regional pandit ji, and is then sealed into the mala's amulet; letting the wearer carry the spiritual essence of the respective tirtha with them daily, no matter wherever life takes them.

Spiritual Significance of Tirth Rudraksha Mala

In the Hindu Vedic tradition, Rudraksha beads are considered revered which has been born from the tears of Lord Shiva. It carries the essence of nature's grace, Shiva's blessings, and venerates the cosmic powers of Shiva (as mentioned in the Shiva Purana):

रुद्राक्षं शिवनेत्रजम्
Rudraksham Shiva Netrajam

Meaning: Rudraksha originates from the eyes of Lord Shiva himself, as a symbol of compassion for humanity residing across the world.

यथा काष्ठं अनग्निश्च, निर्विषं च यथा भुजंगमः।
तथा कर्मविनिर्मुक्तः, रुद्राक्षधारको भवेत्॥ -(Padma Purana)

Yatha Kashtham Anagnischa, Nirvish Cha Yatha Bhujangama
Tatha Karma Vinirmuktah, Rudraksha Dharako Bhavet

As the wood without the fire cannot burn, and a snake without its venom cannot harm anyone, a person wearing Rudraksha gets free from the burden of Karma.

Furthermore, when a simple yet sacred rudraksha mala is combined with the parts of holy pilgrimage sites like Kailash, Kedarnath, Kashi, Char Dham, and so on, it becomes the Tirth Rudraksha Mala, believed to hold an amplified spiritual potency.

Merging the power of a tirtha site with the rudraksha beads, inherit divine boons. If you wear a teertha-based rudraksha mala, the energy from the revered pilgrimage sites will be carried with you wherever you go.
